  • The first thing you have to write is your name as employee including your address. Then you should the date when you are writing the leave letter. The second part on the leave letter is about the name of the employer, designation, and the address of the company. You have to mention direct name. To opening the leave letter, you can use salutation by mentioning the name of the employer using ‘Dear Mr./Ms./Mrs.
  • The first paragraph will tell that you need to take a leave for a while or absence for several days. Mention the date and the number of the days. Of course you should mention your reason why you have to absence for working. Tell it briefly. You do not need to make a detail explanation.
  • The second paragraph should tell about the status of the projects you handle. If it possible, you can also tell them that you are handing over the projects to your colleague who will handle the project during your absence.
  • The third paragraph is how you close the cover letter. To close the letter, you need to mention your contact numbers. Say your grateful feeling because they understand your situation and considering your application of the format letter.
  • In the last part, use nice salutation such as ‘Best Regards’; ‘Sincerely’; ‘Yours Faithfully’; and so on.
Overall, you do not need to give all the details why you have to absence for several days. Even, in some condition or super urgent situation, you can explain that you are not understand the situation yet because of the urgent condition and you may explain it later. Do not worry!
